Nope. The STI mirrors come with an 8-pin plug and you will have a 10-pin in your door. You pop the terminals out of the 8 -pin plug and use them to repopulate the 10-pin from your mirrors. When you re-populate them, you plug in the wires for the heaters. The door harness has all the wires in it, so you don't need to run new wires in the doors, but you do have to run wires from the signal relay to the door harness once it's inside the cabin.

It's all explained (including all the wire color/terminal points, etc) in a great DIY thread over on 3gwrx.com.

I ended up with heated, signals, and power-fold.

I have the Subaru fog covers, and one of them must have gotten hit by a rock because there was a nice crack in it. A few days later, it's gone! Guess it's time to order some more. That's what I get for living in the northeast I guess.

Maybe one day I'll do the power fold. But I just looked up all the DIYs. Looks like something I can manage.

Stewart McKenzie check your PM please!

Ok guys, I'm telling you first! Haha I haven't wrote anything up in my journal but they are al finished. Holy ****.. The wiring was so much of a pain. First, I'll say that Subaru wired our cars tight. VERY little space for extra wires in the mirrors and the rubber tube that connects the door and body. But I took my time (10hrs total) and ran the wires through all the existing tubes and holes and whatnot. The LEDs are positioned very nice. There are 4 lights, 2 facing back and 2 facing front. So people behind me can see them cause they stick out a bit, and then people from the side and front can see. Here's a quick video. Thank you to Stewart McKenzie for the great deal. Last thing, remember that I still have to get them painted the darker (Steel) silver color. Right now they are the lighter (Spark) silver. It sort of matches cause of the handles and stuff.

Noob here. Just out of curiosity, lets say I test drove an automatic '08 OBS and accidentally unknowingly shifted it to the Sportshift mode instead of in Drive, thereby driving in 1st gear for a little, what would be the effects of this? It was a really short drive on roads in a busy residential/commercial area, so I wasn't really able to go that fast anyway..

Probably not very much. If you were able to drive and not notice that you were stuck in first, and the car felt fine, then it's probably fine.

Is Rallitek still making the front and rear sway kit for non turbo imprezas? It doesn't show up on their site in the non turbo section. Do they fit either? I know there are people here with the kit so what gives?

Just read in the other thread that they don't make the front sways for us anymore. Crap, and I was just about to order them... What can we do now?

Hey guys, my TPMS light went on a couple days ago, so I checked all the pressures and everything was fine. Today, the light is still on but all the pressures are the same. Still have the stock wheels and I didn't do anything to them recently. Anyone have an idea about why this is happening?

Well that really sucks! Wonder why they did that? Guess we are down to Whiteline for front and rear sets (I think they have a front one) or keep hoping that Perrin will finally make a front for the NA cars to go with the two rear bar options that they have. If not, guess I won't be doing new sways on the car come spring time.

Nothing. Other than revving the RPM's a little higher than you might normally do on a new car. And I mean a little.

The car is designed to shift to 2 automatically if you accelerate beyond it's recommended range. My guess is it actually shifted to 2 or 3 and you didn't notice, and when you got back it had shifted back down to 1 (it always automatically downshifts).

For your reference, it probably felt a little more sluggish overall, but peppier when you hit the gas, and would have been a little "louder" than if you were driving it normally.

I do. I have the extension armrest and I can pull it up without unhooking the latch. Dunno how or why it happened though.

I've been wanting a OBS for awhile and they come in great colors. What does the all weather package include?

Same thing happened to me. I've just been letting it go for the past 2 months until my OBS goes in for service. Let me know if you find a fix!

Mine did this when I first got the car. It didn't want to stay shut, kept popping up and floating. Take the back panel off in the back seat area (one screw in the middle) then WD40 the black metal hinge. Has been working flawlessly ever since.

Heated wipers, mirrors and front seats. The OBS package them comes with extra plastic guards on the front bumper and back, two tone paint, that upgraded system (which is NOT 10 speakers, just 3 ways in the doors), sport seats which are easier to clean and stay cleaner then the cloth, rear upper bumper guard so suit cases don't scratch the paint, mine came with all the rubber mats annnnndddd..... oh yeah 17" wheels. I think that's it. Besides the .2" 'lifted' suspension.

The .2 inches comes from the wheel and tire set up, not from any suspension differences.

We do get tweeter pods in the door sails by the side mirrors. I thought it was 2-ways in the 4 doors plus the tweeter pods = 10 speakers?

You also get the protective cover ont he floor of the hatch.
