Well i dont come on here much but i appologize for the noobness im still learning as i go. But when i first joined i was told that a aftermarket intake unless i did some modding will loose HP is it the same for exhausts and headers too. Will it affect the power. Id like to install a CAI and exhaust on my car but not if it will affect the power. What have some of you done.

Also whats yall average fuel economy I took the car on its first real road trip and got about 29hwy city i average 20-21, 23 on a good day. Anything i could try to help boost my MPG. also i have an auto so i know its gonna use more gas than a 5spd but any help if any would be great.

I would like to add some HID projectors because the halogens suck balls. I was thinking of going to TRS and getting a kit, but has anyone swapped out thier headlights for the WRX/STI HID projectors. I like the blacked out headlights any 08+ should fit they look the same. What if any would need to be done to make it fit. I already have a HID kit just need the projectors.

Also its been a while since i posted any pics or new mods, but last month i got some new tires 225/45/17, I needed new tires for the OSM Cobb Meet Cruise. Also bought some rims MB Weapons 17X8+46 but they were on back order, got them installed last week. Next is some coils to lower and stiffen up the suspension, and one day ill get around to installing my WRX rear sway bar.

Also installed a 10" Kenwood sub and amp for some better tunes. Also looking to swap the door speakers and tweeters. Other than that thats all for now.

Few pics from the OSM Meet

We were waiting for the rest of the group to catch up there was like another10 cars in the last group

Can someone tell me the width of our stock, OBS 17" wheels? I am starting to shop new tires to replace the crappy OEM ones and am thinking of jumping to a 225/45-17 instead of the stock 205/50-17, but want to see if the stock wheels are wide enough for a 225 tire or not...

Thanks... I'm in a toss up between the MB Weapons in Bronze or Drag DR-31's in Bronze in 17x8 for either.

Does anybody know the part number for the factory OEM metal brackets that go over the rubber bushing on the sway bar? I am going to call Subaru tomorrow and see if they can help also.

Would you sell just the end links?

Some of the bolts are the right parts, but the metal brackets and the bushings are for a STI 19mm Sway not the WRX stock 16mm Sway. Just FYI

Google it yourself then, don't expect others to give you the answers when you don't even give out any other information.

Its called Google.com. Use it.

I will post the correct part numbers for the OEM WRX 16mm sway setup, just incase somebody else is looking as well. I just ordered the parts from Subaru today. They should be in Wednesday. I will post when I receive my shipment.

I have an 11OBS (manual silver 2tone ) with over 15k miles (bought new last July) and thought this would be a good thread to partake in. Awesome photos!

I do have some questions/concerns
1) The glovebox. Does anyone else have to press firmly to close it all the way? I noticed that when closing it, that the left side isn't entirrely flush and I need to push it in a little more. Normal? I did notice that the right gripper mechanism hits the hole first before the left so might just be the design at fault?

2) Inside light illumination. Is the only switches illumated the driver PW and door lock? The other 3 are not lit and the window lock isn't either. None are lit on the passenger side.

3) This is about paint. Has anyone noitced paint chipping at the interection between the bumper and side panels (at about the 10oclock position in the wheel well?) I have noticed this on both sides

4) Usually, right after starting driving, I hear a clunk in the first 2 feet of moving. This has been the case since I bought it. Is this normal? Assume it's just the trans engaging

Other than that. LOVE this car. Are these issues the norm? Or should I be takig it to the dealer?

Thanks!

1. This seems to be the normal for out impreza as the glovebox lid seems to crack. I have it on mine
I'd say get this replaced by dealer for free LOL

2. Strangely enough, only the driver window switch is illuminated.

3. This is why you get mud flaps! since the restriction on led in paint, car paints seem to chip easier and degrade. If the issue is significant, complain to your dealership since you don't have that many miles.

4. Is the clunk coming from engaging reverse to drive(given your auto..)? If so it is normal. The bushings for the tranny and engine are weak, thus causing a clunk feel. some opt to buy stiffer bushings to cure this clunk.

When going to your dealership make sure you don't pay anything. Just complain as you are at 15k and barely a year old car.

Edit:
Copy this page and use this against your dealership because your car is still under warranty. Good luck.

The clunk is probably the ABS settling in (for lack of better term). As far as the paint. I have never had a car with such weak paint. I have chips everywhere!!!
