Default Part 2:Cobb Tuning 08 Sti

Mustang Dyno @ 4500Ft
2008 STI
91 OCT + Meth New Jet Placement...one on top and one adjacent to TB
Boost: 24.5PSI
Mods: Catted Cobb DP, Cat Back Exhaust, Walbro 255, DW740, Cobb BOV prototype, Cobb SF Intake prototype, FP TD06 20G, Aquamist HFS 5 -70/30Mix, HKS EVC, Stock TMIC, Stock block.

This is a follow up to my first tune where the 2 jets were placed on the top of the TMIC next to the firewall. I capped one of those, and put a different one adjacent to the throttle body to see if there is any difference.

The change of placement was VERY effective. I am spooling a few hundred RPM faster and the AFR was .5 Richer after the switch. I cannot attribute the quicker spool to the Meth though. I also rewrote all of the throttle mapping for this tune as well. I can distribute this mapping to anyone who may need it.

Well I will keep it very short.

Enjoy. Cheers!

John

The old jets were on the top of the intercooler, spraying into the core. I then capped one of those and put it in the typical spot adjacent to the throttle body(same place you put one, except I used the top of the core not the Y pipie).

Hope that clarifies a little...I can get pics in a bit.

The system I have been employing with TMIC cars and alchy is to spray 80% of the meth near the TB and 20% in the back of the fmic. These seemed to give us the best intake charge cooling.

There is our Cobb Blog from when we made 568 whp with a TMIC and AP !

Nice Numbers John. Its amazing when mapped correctly. I have been remapping that map back when COBB/ECUtek first made it available.

your Dyno graph looks Sweet for a TDO6-20G, you can tell you are pushing it to its absolute choke line as you are making more power at cam roll off than at redline. You need a bigger turbo bud
