Exclamation Attn: Whiteline Adj. Sway-bar owners!

Did you know about this??
Please check to make sure - this looks like a dangerous condition with the brake lines being rubbed.

If this is "old news" let me know. I have not heard of it, and I know a lot of you guys have these.

I gotta check it out. When I installed it, I didn't notice the bar touching anything on the car though.

Hi everyone.

Around 18-24 months ago we had some adjustable rear bars (22mm) slip through with 5mm extra length in the blade end.

When run on maximum adjustment and driven hard, the end of the bar could intermitently touch the brake mount support and hose.

The stock was isolated and rectified well before it became a major problem. Please contact your distributor or Whiteline direct if you have any concerns. There is some information and pictures available on the WRXSA site located at http://members.iweb.net.au/~seajen/techSway.html

Cheers

Wow, pretty cool customer service.
Good thing they are on top of things, and helping to rectify the problem, instead of pulling a "Pinto".

Looks like the brake line mount could be moved forward a tad, with out breaking into the line. 4x4 guys do it all the time. The hard line is steel and can be bent ever so slightly. I've re-run new lines a million times, some times bent by hand and sometimes with a tube bender. In this situation it looks like it would be harmless to un bolt the mount, drill 2 new holes an inch forward, push the mount forward, put screws back in new holes.

If anyone finds their brake line cuts like this picture, REPLACE THEM and don't forget to bleed them.

Checked mine. According to my brother no problems. Running on 18mm setting.
Applaud Whiteline for being honest regarding this matter

Jim, Bob, Wojtek@Whiteline,

Any info on whether that affects the Legacy?

Mine is too new (only bought a couple of months ago), but I am sure there are more out there...

Cheers

seems like a good reason to get Stainless Steel Brake lines... that would fix it, right?
