Default quik PCM question

I installed a fuel pump controler modual on my 02RS 06STI swap and the car will not start. It ran without it but had problems. the fuel pump turns on for a few seconds like it should with the key in the on position than shuts off. when I try to start it the I can hear the fuel pump runing but the car just will not fire.

I heard that when you take a modual out of a car sometimes it must be reprogramed by a dealer. is there any truth to that?

Double check that you have it wired correctly. On the FPC there is a key to where each wire goes. Just double check that FP+ and FP- are going to the correct place along with your power and ground.
