Default NW 2011 WRB hatch build

Hello All!

Long time lurker of this member's gallery and decided it was time to put my own modding journey in the forum. Got myself a 2011 wrb wrx limited hatch which I baught a year ago at a dealership in portland. They got the trim level wrong and thought it was premium, so I pretty much had to buy it since they offered it at more than a reasonable price I've stolen a lot of mod ideas so I thought maybe I should at least share them . Long story short, I scanned the forums and saw all these sweet looking wrx(s) so i thought I can do it too! Never modded car before so this has been a learning experience. Anyways feel free to give me some input (constructive is always welcomed too )

The day I brought her home (Used with 18000 miles on her) Last owner was an old man in his 50s who traded her in for a brand new M3:

Had some basic "mods"

Pioneer Nav Z110 BT
Factory Sub
Unknown brand side skirts
SPT Exhaust
OEM STI Lip

Car was pretty stock and pipes were a little dirty....

Anyways a quick NASIOC visit after a month and the cosmetic mods began

Just an OEM rack, wrx liscense delete, cobb shift knob, 35% tint (oregon sucks), and an AP to put me stage 1. Heard the stock tune was a bit crappy and the difference was awesome!

Then saw some crazy interiors and decided to try my hand in a couple simple mods. JPM seemed to be the craze so I picked up a shift boot along with a 15 sti arm rest. Then for kicks i got the JPM exteneded arm rest since it looked so good. Finally I decided to get some interior LEDs along with a GT Spec wheel

Lastly, got some new shoes, debadged the car except the plastic dip wrx logo, got tail/fog overlays, blacked out the housing and got whiteline sways/ perrin endlinks.

Next round of mods is slowly coming along. Got a Perrin radiator and pulley shroud and decided it needed a Cobb SF intake. Engine is slowly getting decorated

Continued to buy Cobb stuff but decided to hold off on installing the DP. Word on the street is the wrx intercooler cant hold all that PSI so I'll be getting a grimmspeed one sometime soon.

Lastly, I put some new leds for my DRL. Looks better than the yellow IMO

TUNE Time

300 WHP and 325 ft/lb Torque. Not bad for a stage 2 without SF?

Talked with Cobb. Since I live in the PNW our cars love to experience boost creep because of low ambient air temperatures and high atmospheric pressures. I would be overboosting because my wastegate isn't big enough to let all the exhaust flow through. The cobb intake would only amplify the issue as it lets more air through. Soooooo it was either remove the cobb sf or spend 2700 for an EWG+Fuel pump+Injectors set up. My wallet and wife decided for me.

Cobb SF is meh anyways. Boost creep in your area and heat soaks like a b!*&# down south from what I've heard. Sell it and get some extra $

Haha, pretty much what I am going to do. It just sucks that I spent $315 and put the SF intake for a little over a month and now need to sell it. Not even 1000 miles

Did a non car mod today

Pretty easy to do with the NASIOC instruction.

Also my local Subaru dealership cut my key for free for some reason.

Final Product:

It's coming along nicely!

Did you take any videos while it was on the dyno?
