Default clearcoat chips

my car keeps getting hit by dumbasses. i try to park next to nice cars i figure the owners will be somewhat cautious.
my rear bumper has a few chips and now my passenger side door has one. the color is still there but there's ugly chips in the clearcoat i think.
anyone know what i can do to reduce these? im pretty sure the paint is intact but the clearcoat is chipped but i'm not sure.
anyone else experiancing this?

....pictures would be nice.

Paint transfer, light abrasions, etc. are typically 100% (or nearly) correctable by simply using a good polish and a little elbow grease. However, even with more severe blemishes you can usually (at least) diminish their appearance just with some buffing.

Do these "chips" look more like abrasions/rub marks from something scraping/hitting against the panel or do they really look like chips out of the finish.

I always park far away from everyone to reduce the chance of that happening. Like said above it might just be scuffs in the paint.

i try an park away from other cars but its not always possible.

on the back bumper its definetly from somebody hitting me while attempting to parallel park and on the door im pretty sure its from another car door opening.

it looks like chips missing. not really scuffs or scrapes but like chips with difined edges so they really stand out. i've waxed and buffed but it makes no difference what so ever. ill try an get pics up. to post pics do they have to be urls from other web sites or can i upload them directly to the forum. thanks
