About how much money would it cost to change transmission in a 1992 turbo legacy with awd, and is there a write up for it?

i got a really good deal for one, and thats the only problem so far.

What do you mean? Are you asking about an auto to manual conversion? There's a lot of details missing from your question.

yea, sorry bout that, i had to be quick, but yes, auto to manual. it currently has the 4eat, and it's going bad. i just want an estimate on how much it would cost me. i'd most likely be doing the swap myself, but what all would i need and about how much would each part cost? and i know alot of people have done this before, so if there is a write up or a thread with a step by step would be sweet.

Ive got a pedal box, transmission, rear diff and axles that I can sell you... Cheap. Ill include the clutch cable (push type) and a shift knob...

Here's the write up. His car was originally 2WD but most of the information is the same anyway.

When you start assembling parts make sure that they are all compatible such as push versus pull style and final drive ratio. You mention that you already have a 5spd. What car did it come from?

I've got a shifter assembly for you that I would sell for $40 shipped. I'll include the bushing and the clamps and spring. Those are the hard to find parts. It's got no shift knob, but that's something you likely want to personalize anyway.
