Default TopSpeed Tuned vf34 2.0liter

Here are the mods on a 2004 wrx:
uppipe
Perrin v3 downpipe
Blitz cat back
sti pinks
Walbro Fuel Pump
APv1
vf34
spt short ram intake
turbo xs 50/50 BOV
Perrin IC hose

I thought I was going to get around 280whp since I have around 110,000 miles on the car. I ended up having a baseline run of 280whp 234wtq with the OTS vf34 map. By the end of the tune Doug got 301whp and 243wtq on a stock top mount intercooler.....I'm pretty impressed with Doug and would recommend this tune to anyone around the southeastern US. I would post up an image but he didnt get a chance to print it out but overall I'm happy.

Your torque is unusually low in my opinion. I know because my 02 WRX put down 292whp and 297tq on pump and 324whp and 338 on 50/50 pump/race gas at Topspeed with the same turbo, basic mods and no meth.

what kind of dyno were YOU on?...if it were an eddy current (non-inertial) dyno, you may have been having more low end load and thus spooled sooner.

well the OP said he got tuned on dynapack at topspeed, and this guy said he was tuned at topspeed, so unless topspeed has more than one dyno, i would assume its a dynapack.

Yeah, that was confusing. I was tuned at Topspeed. They use a Dynojet, according to their website. I have the dyno graphs on a different computer than I'm on. I should add that I'm getting tuned today for the 91 pisswater here in Cali, so I can kiss my numbers goodbye.

yeah doug said it was extremely strong for a cobb OTS....

I was running 18 lbs, no dyno plot and not sure about the AFR....its running a little rich but still strong...very happy.

Frorm what everyone is saying with a protune, a VF34 should have anywhere between 285-305whp

Nice numbers.

I will be having Topspeed tune my 06 2.5L for my new vf34 soon and I hope Scott can pull some numbers like that out of mine (but with more TQ )My vf39 pulled like a beast on a fresh tune but now it is dying so I have decided to go 34.

Scott will be tuning me as well. They're both VERY reputable tuners, I just think Scott's meticulous nature and OCD-ness about smooth lines is more up my alley. They both can eek out insane tunes for these cars without putting them out over the hairy edge.
