So this is basically a "Direct Fit" and the stock fans are reuseable. Only modification is cutting the stock radiator hoses is that correct? Also if the car is auto then an external trans cooler is needed...I just want to get all the facts in. I have a friend that has a 4eat wrx that is also in need of a radiator. Thanks.

Sounds like this is a good replacement for the '02. I may have to look into one as preventative maintenance. My bugeye is starting to get up there on miles.

Let us know how the install goes!

I'll be ordering one and updating with Pics as well. Will keep everyone updated on how it goes. I was originally going for the Koyo or Mitshoto radiator as well, but if this works just as well and is a direct fitment/reuseable stock fans....I'm sold. I look for quality/direct fitment not a fancy name. Cheers to everyone and thanks Audiosavvy for the feedback.

Once I get mine next week, etc., I'll post up pics along with a review and perhaps a how-to if I'm really feeling like an over-achiever hahah

Not to steal anyone's thread. But in general has anyone installed an aftermarket radiator onto a 4eat wrx before? If so please give details. I'm just trying to help out a friend in the process. Thanks again NASIOC members.

4eat has an oil cooler hookup for the transmission in the radiator IIRC...all of the aluminum ebay ones I've seen so far don't have that (save for one radiator made specifically for autos that cost about $400...its made by a smaller US company, forgot though )

You can probably make due by buying a hayden oil cooler from autozone or something for $30 and hook up the tranny oil to that.

yeah mine is shipping tommorrow as well, but they will get here before the weekend which is the only time i will be able to install it anyways. Im still driving my car but i only work 5 min away so its barely warm by the time i get there. The install will be really basic. Disconnect the fan wiring, remove upper and lower hoseand the 2 bolts on the top brakets and it will slide right out. After its out you can take the fans off, bolt them on to the new radiator then put it back in. Cut the hoses and hook them back up as well. Fill and burp colling system and your allset.....
Im not sure if this is gonna have the extra cooling that the high dollar ones do but its better then stock and much cheaper then both as well

I agree, but for the price, I'm not complaining lol I don't really need extra cooling, but it definitely wouldn't hurt. I finally got bit in the butt earlier today. After running errands all afternoon, I was sitting at the light waiting to turn into my apartment and I just saw the temp. gauge start to shoot up (but didn't overheat) so now the car will be sitting the rest of the week At least I was pulling into the apartment when it happened.

Oh well

mine got pretty warm once too but if you keep it filled it will be ok just make sure to watch that gauge
I guess these do cool better then stock so they really are a pretty good deal. As long as they last a few years lol

No! I was about to send him an email. The last I heard from him he said "We will ship it out first thing Monday and email you the tracking number."

But so far, no word

Relax guys, you'll get it . Remember that you're buying something on eBay for the deal of the century, don't expect stellar customer service. Be patient, it WILL get there.

I don't doubt at all that it will get here, I just need it lol Not being able to drive the Scoob is extremely inconvenient. When we do receive them, I challenge you to a race! First one done w/ the install gets a beer.

However,

I did receive about $325 in parts I ordered last week today
