Question Minnam kit temperature coated?

Anyone know if the Minnam kit up/down pipes had any type of temperature coating on them?

I need to move my cat and it will involve cutting and re-welding on the downpipe. If it is coated, it will cause problems with a TIG welder.

Thanks!

-Nathan

Later Minnam kits came with coating pipes, but the earlier batches weren't.

you can weld on that pipe, we just hacked my intake pipe (jet hot coated) and welded another pipe to it to fit up to a Saab 900 intercooler. so it can be done, but you'll have to grind off the coating from around where you are going to weld.
