Default Installed Cobb CAI, rpm drop when shifting?

I just put in the Cobb intake last night in '00 2.5RS, everything went smoothly, just had a question here...when you guys mention low end power loss with a intake, is this what it means? It only happens when shifting from 2nd to 3rd, but when I shift to 3rd gear my RPM's will always drop down, right after the gear changes, and then I'll begin to re-accelerate as they climb back up with more gas...is this normal? Before the intake, I could shift up and the RPM's wouldnt drop at all (well not even as close to as noticeably as this) ..so I'm just wondering, thanks

What everyone means by low end loss is tourque down low is lost. You should not experience much or any low end loss with the Cobb. As for the RPM drop... I thought that happened anyway unless you had a million pound flywheel. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are trying to say. But RPM's should drop between shifts.

my car does this too. when ever i change gears, the revs drop. and when i downshift, the revs go up (and if i go from 5th to 2nd they go up to 8k). i always thought this was normal.

Thats what gears do!

If the RPMs didnt go down, your engine wouldnt be able to accelerate anymore cause it would just hit redline and stop

Do you mean they drop after you let out the clutch or while you are shifting?
