Back up pass, same boost less 2step since the track was sucking big time and I was getting horrible 60fts

MODS:
Stock PORT Heads + Cosworth AVCS Cams, SS VALVES and SPRINGS kit
UTEC + OPEN ECU
1100CC fuel setup
CM Single disk Clutch + Aluminum flywheel
THE SHOP short block
DSS Axles and DS
AquaMist HSF-5
HKS EVC 5
The SHOP IC pipe setup with Perrin Core
HTA 35r with 1.06 Back Housing
Perrin Up and Modified Perrin Down pipe
Greddy SP2 ( this car is super quite )
1 BIG WALBRO Pump

This was on the 580whp tune, it made 625whp as well with another 3psi... We didnt get a chance to try it, and honestly with the track prep... it would have been useless.
Packed it and drove home... That damn shift to 5th KILLS ME!!!!
The track prep was **** today, even the muscle car guys were complaining about the track prep. Slipping and sliding everywhere.

Either way had fun, went with a few customer of THE SHOP and Jimmy.
Wiznas went 11.5@118 with his stock turbo 9
STIMIKEY with me driving went 12.0@112 in his Stg2 STI He will make his own thread
The owner of the STI I was driving brought his 2 son's EVO 9s out to play as well. Both THE SHOP built and tuned by me
12.0@117 for the younger of the 2 brothers Stock turbo 9 Pump/Meth
11.6@128 for the other brother HTA35r Pump+Meth.. That was with a 2.2 60ft he must have spun past the 330..
One other Evo customer blasted off a 11.0@126mph pass on his HTA RED and pumpgas Evo 8...
All in all.. A fun day at the strip!

Impressive times with the '06 STi - good job. The ET amd MPH show a fast car. Forced Performance HTA's are serious turbos. Al

Definitely had a great time out there today. Good people, good weather and some good racing. That STI is flat out scary to watch BTW.. vicious doesn't even describe the power that car makes

^ Did Al retire the Dynoflash name?

Thanks UM.. all we had to work with were 3 highway logs.. she was still on the rich side and was begging for more timing. Next time out my car will be better prepared.. The stock turbo is too much fun to get rid of.

Sadly they both just sit in my driveway... My weapon of choice for the daily drind is the STI PWRD GC... One thing I will always agree with Al on is how much fun subies are on the street.. Well a GC with STI power... is just plain

Scary was the fact that Jedi Pilot Wiznaz was banging out 1.62 60fts on ALL seasons while everyone else was cursing the track.. The force was with you today

To bad I missed 2 and 3rd when I cut the 1.66 on Mikeys car... That would have been a 11.7/8 pass.. It had all the boost and a great 60ft...

And I could not have lost to a better guy on that pass.. Opposite(grand daddy OG of the stock turbo)lock
Good seeing you to Dave... Cant wait to see her rip with the new mods!

This is very true

RWD machines can make a lot of power but traction is always a concern

There is nothing that combines power, traction and control like an AWD. Subaru remains my favorite without a doubt. As far as a street car there is nothing which can out run a well build Subaru.

Junior,

Couldnt you possibly use an AVCR or some other electronic boost contolloer to control the per gear boost and turn it down for 1-2 gear to help with the launch? Then be able to utilize the 625whp in the higher gears?
