Maybe this will help. 30R thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1580831

I don't know if I'd do a stock location 35R. Won't be as responsive as a rotated, and def not as responsive as a 30R, IMO. What are you looking for out of it? That 35R wouldn't be very good for road course/autocross/etc.

Well Zer0psi I am looing for a good DD but I like to go o the dragstrip every once in awhile with the ability to run 11's. I would like it to be responsive but able to make good power. Al from ICS said that I should be able to run 11's with pump and meth so thats what I am shooting for right now.

I tested the first ATP35R for ATP on our 08 STi shop car. Whoever told you that it is "very laggy between shifts" obviously hasn't driven a properly tuned car with it. It is an excellent turbo and I personally find it to be very responsive and certainly no worse than a rotated true GT35R. Here is the dyno graph on straight CA 91 octane:

Here is another on 100 octane (this was a road racing tune, so it is pretty conservative):

Here is an ATP3076 I tuned a while ago on CA 91 + meth. As you will see it makes similar peak whp and a bit more torque than the ATP35R but obviously had the ATP35R been tuned with meth injection it would have made more whp/wtq. You will also see that the difference in spool is pretty small:

Both are excellent turbos. I personally prefer the ATP35R, but if you want a bit lower boost threshold and a bit less lag then the ATP3076 is certainly a great choice as well.

i would do the ATP GT35r, my car was supposed to be rocking one, but ATP blew it on shipping to me in time so that backfired.

yep look at Paul's dyno results with the thing, similar to the 30r but more power, easy 11s on pump and meth

Mine is in the mail. I went with the 3076 w/ integral Tial wastegate flange in the exhaust housing. I probably won't have it on for at least a month if you can wait that long. I expect glorious results.

Sweet! Keep us posted. 3076 or 3582? (er, I'm guessing the ATP 35R is a 3582, anyone know for sure? 3082 wouldn't surprise me)

nice comparo on graphs socal GT

the difference in spool appears to be around 300 rpm between the two turbo's.

Generally I look to see where each turbo crosses 300wtq and mark that point and compare.

Do you have a stock location turbo with simmilar mods to compare spool across stock/3076/atp35R
