Angry Did anyone else get an email from an Activision lawyer Today?

Quote:
To Whom It May Concern:

We are litigation counsel for Activision Publishing, Inc. (“Activision”). As you may be aware, Activision is the publisher of the Guitar HeroŽ series of video games, and is the owner of all right, title and interest in such games.

It has come to our attention that an individual using the username “Hamsterstyle” (Member No. 45936) has posted to the NASIOC forums information concerning forthcoming Guitar HeroŽ products that is confidential, discloses Activision’s proprietary trade secrets, and is in violation of certain non-disclosure agreements between this individual and Activision. The post(s) at issue are located at http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=XXXXXX.

These postings are causing (and unless immediately removed will continue to cause) immediate, severe, and irreparable harm to Activision. Accordingly, we request that you immediately remove the aforementioned thread, and all posts contained therein. We also request that you take steps to ensure that the information contained in this thread is not re-posted on the website.

We trust that you will honor this request. Nevertheless, please be advised that Activision is prepared to take any action it deems necessary to protect its rights, including, if necessary, by seeking any appropriate judicial relief.

We appreciate your cooperation. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Of course, nothing contained in this letter is intended to, nor shall it constitute, a waiver or relinquishment of any rights, claims, defenses, or causes of action possessed by Activision, all of which expressly are reserved.

Name and firm removed to protect the innocent

This is what happens when you guys screw up royally... and when I get these emails.. threating legal action against NASIOC is makes me very angry.

So let's go over some rules... if you sign an NDA, DON'T POST ABOUT WHATEVER YOU SIGNED THE NDA ABOUT HERE!!!

From here on out... if I get a cease and desist letter from any companies I'm going to permanently ban the account responsible. I have no interest in losing NASIOC, or even dealing with this bull****, because you guys don't like to follow the rules.

BTW... Hamsterstyle... you are on serious notice from now on.

And for the rest of you that did things like this, but didn't get busted...

Bitch... are you retarded?

P.S. Don't try the link in the email... it's gone.

well that does it, I'm never paying for another Activision product ever again. They think Hamsterstyle did them harm by posting some harmless information, but by being pricks about it, they now lose me as a customer FOREVER.
