Hey folks, I know this may not be the perfect place to ask this, but I've been searching the archives and can't find anything readily available on nasioc...

I have kart boy shifter bushings and a short shifter that the wife got me for Jesus's birthday. Not having a ton of skill in this type of install does anyone know a suby friendly shop that would install for me? I live in wrentham and have an 08 wrx.

Should be able to find someone to help you. I did this in my 2005 and a friends 2007. Don't know of the process for the 08 is a lot different. Have you looked for a DIY?

I looked up a DIY for the short shifter. Aside from the $8 snap ring pliers and some kind of shifter grease *giggity* it sounds like I could easily do the short shifter.

The shifter bushings I'm less comfortable with. I know it should be on a lift and I should probably know what Im looking at.

My problem is time. I'll probably do it once it is warmer in May or June. Maybe I can host some type of "short shifter install" meet and I'll supply beer and BBQ for assistance?

This is how to ask for help. At some point this summer I'll be putting in a shifter bushing. I will help.

Haven't been there in ages.

Weather is too nice. I'm going to have a garage day. Just have to figure out when to send the wife away, so I can have it.

Is this the place near the tracks where the cop accused me of driving on the train tracks?

Hop on the tracks where they cross the street on Waverly, next to the Framingburg station. Drive the tracks east and it's the first surface street you reach. After you cross the street, stop, look left...there you are.

Unless some miracle happens and my workload suddenly lightens or the building catches fire, I won't be around this week, or next week (probably).

I am definitely not coming tonight. Schoolwork and problems with work this week are taking up my time and emotions. Perhaps next week?

Spotted: Bobby in Milford on Tuesday evening. I was slow to react so instead of waving, I whacked my hand on the top part of my windshield. Down fall of having a convertible is everyone can see you doing stupid things.

- HP

P.S. : If you had kept a giant stuffed animal on your roof at all times, it would make it easier to ID you.

As I approached I thought, "Gee, that looks like Bobby's Jeep..."

"Gee, that guy looks like Bobby."

"Huh, that guy that looks like Bobby is waving to me... oh $h!t, it IS Bobby." *fails to clear the car and hand hit's windshield instead.* I know that Miata's small... but geeze...

Best part is, he's not on the forums to read this so not only do we get to laugh at you, you also have to show up to another meet and tell him.

I mean... cool story bro.

The story wasn't meant for Bobby... I know he's not on the board.

It was meant to be a cool story bro! And I know how stupid I am. The thing is, the older you get, the less you care.
