Maybe there is something to the different batches with Creeds. I received my split of Aventus from basenotes yesterday and I got 14 hours out of it last night. And I wasn't sniffing around my arm trying to find it. 14 hrs later and I was surprised to get random whiffs of it. Not to mention this stuff is a lot sweeter than the sample I have. (which is a lot smokier)

LOVE the PM and of course LIDGE. Not to sure what I think of the others. I'll have to give them a full wearing.

Thanks, broham!

It must be the time to score new fragrances.
I bought Terre d'Hermes and Tom Ford Grey Vetiver.

I've posted it in this thread, but can't find it. So I'll repeat it.

The thing with Creed and inconsistency, imo, is their handcrafted, vintage techniques. Not to mention it's all/mostly natural ingredients. And we all know that even the best natural ingredients have variations.

Actually, the last few 'batches' of Aventus I've had, have been very consistent. Another weird thing is that the more I wear it, the better it preforms. To an extent. It's the king of olfactory fatigue.

Would you be willing to sell a whole bottle, or point out where I can? I LOVE the bottle.

You keep saying that Creed uses natural ingredients, but the fragrance community says that claim is only marketing.

To my knowledge, they do, but I don't know any better. I know that each batch is in a 55 gallon drum, and they use a recipe so to speak. So one pinch extra of this or that can affect it.

The 55 gallon drum thing is believed to be marketing too because of how they do their batch numbers. Though it hasn't been completely verified they generally organize their batches by year and quarter. If they made it in smaller quantities then it would also include a lot number. Reason being they would have to be able to identify specific lots in case of a recall. But I should add that there are a few numbers they can't figure out on basenotes, so they think those might be differnt codes for testers.

I don't think you'll see much hate around here. I'm a Mugler fan as I'm sure are a few others here.
