Thumbs down On my way to work... (Ottawa)

9:50am, 417 going east from (Kanata to Ottawa).. I spotted a nice black WRX with tinted windows from far away thanks to its nice spoiler. Nice car I thought... more and more anxious to pick up my RS next week.

It all seemed perfect... except for...

Believe it or not, the driver was driving at 95k/h while talking on the cell phone!!!! Traffic in the left lane was at about 120, so there's no excuse to be driving a WRX at 95 on the highway!!

So whoever you are, you don't deserve to be driving a WRX... you're not using it properly!

Not surprised...... there's lots of WRX owners who bought this car cause it was the flavor of the month..... compared to the previous generation of Impreza owners..... and have no clue of the Subbie cult following......

We still have lots of WRX members in the club but it's a much smaller % of people compared to the 98-01 RS where they're much more of an enthusiasts......

If I don't buy an STI..... I'll be buying a 3 year old WRX with 50k and still has the stock all season tires on the car......

In other words, the car was never used or abused.....

Oh well....... I'll keep waving when I see another subbie.... hopefully, they'll get it some day.......

BTW, cell phones shouldn't never be used while driving...... I was almost hit as a pedestrian (downtown Ottawa) this Tuesday by a minivan driver...... I gave him my 2cents!

I agree wholeheartedly with Robin on this, but lately I have also
had a rash of old school sightings with no responses either. I
don't know if it is not seeing me or not understanding why some
fool is waving at them.

I too agree completly. I was stopped at a red light the other day and a WRX came up beside me. I turn around and give the guy a thumbs up and a smile and all i got back was a lovely finger

Yeah I was in my RS and the guy was probably in his early 30's and the WRX was blue (of course)

Ok, it's one thing to not wave back or anything, but to flip you the bird??? That's just ignorant. Probably a laid-off techie who's
coming up on reposession time (hopefully)

I know,
I always wave and have trained my gf to do so... If you don't see my car behind you, then you must be blind...

It happened to me twice, came up beside a WRX and waved. The guy (old) just looked at me, probably trying to figure out if he knew me... pathetic...

Anyhow, keep waving...
