Default Twin turbo EJ20 heads on a ej22t

from what Ive heard the twin turbo heads flow really well and I was just curious how much harness modding is needed to make these heads work? Also you have to use a different intake manifold to right?

What kind of harness modding? You own a 2.5RS. Are you putting these heads into an old Legacy Turbo? If not, you're asking in the wrong forum and should be looking for answers and ideas down in the AFI forum. Reddevil's supercharged my car today would be a good place to start. He uses those heads.

The short answer is legos. The things mechanical are like legos. The things electrical need to stick to what the car thinks. With a 2.5RS you will need to figure out a way to not only make your wiring harness work but to get your TB and related sensors mounted to the Ej20H intake manifold. The challenge will be the IAC.

i think one of the heads on my ss might be cracked so im thinking i might see if i can find some 20R heads and just install those because they flow really well. I just wondered what kinda harness modding is involved with this. Im not actually doing the harness modding on my RS, I dont have the time or the electronic background to have the confidence to achieve it. Im waiting on a Link G4

If they are going on a 91-94 ss, then its plug and play.

Ed Zachary. Put your intake manifold harness on the EJ20 manifold. If you can get an Ej25D manifold, then it's really easy because you can bolt your coil pack to the manifold, but any early Ej20 manifold will work with those heads.

I am also running a 19??/200? 2.5 intake on some twin turbo heads. Working fine. This in one of the intake manifolds that has the mounting bolts inline.

That's the 1996-1999 DOHC Ej25 manifold. None of the SOHC Ej22 or SOHC EJ25 manifolds will work with those heads.

sweet I didnt know the twin turbo heads were plug and play. I just know the 22t heads dont flow very well and are known for having cracking issues. so basically i just need to find some dohc heads off an outback of 96-99 year range and they'll bolt right up? Also will the Perfect Power SMT6 work with those heads? What is the CC rating of the SS injectors?

The JDM greys are 440cc on the early WRX EJ20 intakes.
