Question 05-07 STi BBS wheels fit on an 08 STi?

I'm planning on putting the stock BBS wheels from an 05-07 STi (114.3) on my 08 STi...

does anyone know if I'll have fitment/clearance issues? They're the same brakes and everything right?

Any insight would be helpful - thanks!

I don't know about that. Considering the stock '08 STI wheels are like 26 lbs each, that's giving us a bit a shaft IMO.

i believe they are 28lbs because previous year bbs's are around 9lbs lighter weighing in at 19. Also a bigger wheel is kinda getting shafted, who wants to runner a lower profile tire on a sports car that they drive hard? i sure as hell dont want to worry about bending a rim or something else, japan is still doing it right.

all good points...

In fact, I think this makes the JDM peeps to think "Ha, some of those stupid Americans will think they're getting an upgrade... ha ha ha ha"

back on topic...
any thoughts or recommendations where to find out if the 05-07 STi BBS has no clearance issues on an 08

you can always ask a local with an older sti and see if you can try to do a test fit of his wheels. Go to a local meet and I'm sure someone will be willing, I know I wouldn't mind.

in case no one posts anything definitive i'll tie this up after the weekend if it comes to putting a wheel on the car

They will fit.

The base 08+ STI in Europe and Japan comes with the same 17x8 wheels that were on the 07 STI Limited. 05+ STI wheels will fit the new STI.

I've seen posts where people have had clearance issues with the wheel weights, but I personally run 07 Limited on my 08 STI during the winter and I have zero issues with the wheels on my STI.
