Arrow Question about Cobb stg 2 on 06 wrx...

I need help guys. Had my 2006 wrx 5mt upgraded to cobb stg2 today and a catted downpipe - stock airbox. Car made 196 hp (@4800) & 250 tq (@3000) on a mustang dyno basically at sea level - this seems a little low. New stock ngk plugs installed after the map was loaded - but this wouldnt affect the base stg2 map. Any ideas?

What do stock WRX/STi's put down on that dyno. Mustang dyno's generally read lower than others like dyno jet. Also, can you feel a difference from stock? Go to a drag strip and see what it traps. You should be around a 100.

I consider ots maps as a safe map to get to the tuner ( or stay off boosting). As far as the mustang dyno goes it is what it is. Thats just me man, there are a million other opnions on here, good luck with it!

I did 270is with 310tq with.......the mustang

txs turboback catless
perrin pulley
snorkus delete
inlet hose (pain in the ass)
txs tmic
colder plugs
@20 psi

The butt dyno is the way to see if the numbers actully work.....or the 1/4 mile. And i could feel it. Dynos are a mystery to me too many varibles.

Smittypac, none of your mods have any relevancy to his question, and your numbers will only further confuse because you're comparing 2 different dynos, not to mention the other thousand variables which make your car and his NOTHING alike.

To the OP, those numbers sound well within reason. Who knows about the TUNE, but the numbers are fine. You know who could tell you if it's normal, your tuner . With new OEM plugs the tune should be fine, assuming that the ones that were removed were in good shape and the new ones are gapped properly.

If you run the 1/4 mile and can trap 100mph or so, you're doing just fine . But you need to have 'that talk' with your transmission before you take it to the strip.
