Post Pittsburgh members

Can everybody from Pittsburgh post here so we can see how many of us there are?

I've spoken with at least 5 other Scoobie owners around the 'burgh. I just wanted to see how many of us are actually on this board. We should meet up sometime.

I don't think I've seen you, which is strange because my gf lives in Bethel Park. If I see ya, I'll be sure to wave.

I'm from Oakland. Although I dont have a subaru yet, I'm seriously considering buying one. Question is would I want to settle for a MY00 or MY01 over the new ugly looking MY02 models. BTW, which dealer do you guys suggest? Bill Grey? Bianchi? Bowser?

Buy from Bianchi. They have a 01 RS in white that has a lot of MRT parts added. They also have a 98 RS in black with a lot of parts added. That's what they had last Wednesday. Bianchi does sell some performance parts. The owner has a real nice blaze yellow wrx with the bbs wheels, sti exhaust, and other parts.

Bianchi. I bought mine from Bowser, and they aren't bad. Bill Gray stinks from what I hear. The parts man fixed up the managers old RS, and his selling the s/c from it. Why, because the manager bought a WRX as you can read right above!

I hate bowser with a passion!!!!! I would never ever even walk onto their proberty again or get even a SPT sticker from their parts dept.

Anyway, im live in monroeville and drive a Silver 2000 OBS with a SUBARU sticker across the windshield and converted to an RS bumber with some bright as hell PIAA's.

I would definatly be interested in a meet.

The O is no good, we need somewhere with a large parking lot. I graduated from Pitt last year and know the area well. There really isn't anywhere to park.

Sorry....had to get that in there.

I plan to start hitting some Auto-X's this summer, if I find out when they are, so keep me posted. This Sunday I'm playing in a hockey tournament on Neville Island. Can't make it, sorry.

For those of you in the Pittsburgh area, try Bouchat in Natrona Heights. I have a WRX arriving May 15th. The deal: same as Van Bortel, $400 over invoice and 30 over for accessories. Call John Mancuso at (724) 224-0600. Bianchi and Bill Gray are at list....no deal, no sale!

Cool, yeah LETS GO PENS!!! I used to work at Western Psych. Oakland would be cool for a meet. Schenley Park? A couple people met up for the Vintage Grand Pix last year we could do that again. I'm gonna try to get in a couple AX this season too. Is Bianchi under new ownership? I remember them being pricks before, but I think somebody took them over. Hamilton in Irwin or Kunkles in Delmont are both cool. They might be willing to deal. Ham's has a white 5spd WRX. I noticed when I was at my folks over Easter. Since every body is here and checking the boards can somebody check this out for me?

I'm ashamed I didn't see this post earlier I've run into a couple of 'yins' from pittsburgh but not nearly enough. I've been in Montana for school so I have no idea what's goin on back home. I'm headin' back in a month or so and it would rock to come home to a bunch of autox's and stuff...

I definitely want to auto-x this year. Someone in pittsburgh must know about some auto-x events.
The only auto-x I know about is here.

Hi! Just checking in ... I'm up for a meet.

I don't know the downtown area all that well ... but maybe we could do something up at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Robinson Town Square (up by the airport). There's plenty of parking ... plus it's a kewl place. Just my 2 cents .

Oh yeah ... Jeff and Brian I know you know , but for the rest of the folks I have a Black 98 rs ( 30% tint on all 5, UR Pulley, Stromung deul tip exhaust, whiteline front strut brace, pipercross drop in filter ... 20mm rear sway bar and KYB/AGX adjustables are bought, I just need to put 'em on ) .... that's about it, besides the PIAA bulbs.

I'm going to the Hocking Hills meet in Ohio , so I won't be online for a few days. It would be great to get something simple organized soon.

Try these:

Events at North Park swimming pool lot are run by the North Hills Sports Car Club. They run in the early spring and fall. Web site is http://www.fyi.net/~nhscc/

Summer events are by the Steel Cities region of SCCA as noted above.

Events in Steubenville are run by the Northern Ohio Valley region of SCCA. First one this Sunday. Web site is http://www.wizco.net/NOVR/

I'd second 98Gals nomination for QS&L in Robinson Town Center. I love any excuse to go there! Pens are going to win the Cup man!
