Default Anybody IT folks in Alexandria, VA or Washington DC area? Need help!

A lady that does some remote work for a company that I do work for has a problem.

It sounds like her cable modem is down, but in the troubleshooting process Comcast apparently had her disconnect all of her equipment (router, AP, vonage, etc) and she is totally clueless about hooking it all back up. On top of that, Comcast left her up the creek by not diagnosing the problem at all- she said they never had her check the modem, but when I asked her what lights were lit on it it looks like she has no internet service at all.

Bottom line: She needs someone to go there and call the morons at comcast to figure out the problem and get a repair man out there. She also needs her crap hooked back up. She doesn't know anybody reputable in the area to call.

Can any OTters do this? This won't be a freebie, name your (reasonable) price!

EDIT: one other detail- she only has a laptop that she uses to connect with (wirelessly).

If anybody even knows somebody in the area that could help, it would be awesome. She is freaking out because the Vonage is the line she uses for her business stuff.

Usually I log in remotely to fix her stuff, but that's unpossible with no internets.

Yeah, that's why she's freaking out.

But everything apparently is a jumbled mess of disconnected wires now, and she has no clue where anything goes.

She was seriously cussing out Comcast tech support

I'd get permabanned if I repeated half of what she said here. Let me just say she disclaimed it by saying "I'm not a racist but..."

I've only met her a couple times in person... you probably don't want those pics.

But if you can help and want to make a few bucks PM me

I don't know the zip code, nor do I know the going rate for onsite service up there- I would assume somewhere between $80 and $150/hr would be reasonable.
