winter tires for other seasons?

would it be bad on winter tires (most likely getting Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D) to use them during fall through part of the spring? not much aggressive driving btw..

I have the previous generation Dunlops. When they were new, there was a lot of squirm above 50 degrees.

Once they got worn down about halfway, they were fine. I actually left them on almost all summer in '07, and they hardly wore at all. I think Dunlop uses a dual compound on the Winter Sport tires. Soft at first, then A/S compound for the last half.

My next tires will be Nokian WR G2, which have a winter pattern, but use an A/S compound throughout so they won't wear down as fast if I leave them on over the summer.
