Exclamation The Big Catback SALE Thread! MANY brands, GREAT prices! Turbobacks, too. HAVE A LOOK!

Thread is now closed. Please see the new one here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1663611

It just felt like a good time to put some catbacks on sale!

All prices INCLUDE Ground shipping if you're in the continental U.S.!!! Hawaii & Alaska add just $20 for 3-day air.

Yes, we price match/beat. If you see it somewhere else for less (good luck! :P ), send us a link and we'll do our best to beat it by enough to make it worth your time! (make sure to account for shipping charges!!!)

(underlined exhaust names are links to manufacturer sites)

Vibrant Street Power (1636): $525 <<< one of my absolute fav exhausts on the market right now! Think Borla Hush volume levels but deeper and cleaner tone, possibly better quality, a FULL 3" straight-through design, and lower price

Vibrant TPV (1734): $495 <<< a real bargain for a great quality, great sounding, and very high-flowing full 3" exhaust! It's a canister style muffer but is straight exit (not angled). YouTube Video I found

Apexi N1 (161-KF01): $495 <<< basically the standard for the angled exit, canister style exhaust.

Apexi N1 Titanium ExTi (161SKF01): $885 (msrp $1090!) <<< like the classic N1, but this exhaust has a 100% titanium muffler and tip. The tip is actually adjustable in length, so if you have a body kit you can extend it farther out so it clears, or otherwise just adjust it to your liking.

Apexi GT Spec (171-KF01): $650 <<< larger diameter piping than the other APEXi exhausts (up to 3.35") for max power

HKS Hi-Power (3106-EX008): $535 <<< great price, great power, really aggressive sound! Very popular exhaust for sure.

HKS Carbon Ti (3112-EX005): $725 <<< same as the Hi-Power but the muffler is wrapped in carbon fiber and the tip is made of Titanium

...click for larger image...

TurboXS 2008 WRX 5-door catback (WS08-CBE): (see below in turboback section)

OTHER CATBACKS WE CAN GET TO YOU at killer prices (that I'm just too tired at the moment to link like the above ones haha):

5-Zigen
AVO
Blitz
Borla
Bosal
Cobb
Invidia
JIC
MadDad
Perrin
Stromung
TurboXS (they don't make full catbacks though, just axlebacks)

TurboBack Exhausts: Also stealthbacks....

We have THE BEST TurboXS pricing! E-mail or PM for a quote. Full turbobacks in stock in standard muffler (WS-TBE) and in Ti muffler (WS-TBE-Ti), both catless (WS-TBE-RP or WS-TBE-Ti-RP) and highflow cats. Stealthbacks in stock (WS-SBE), also catted or catless. Downpipes & catback adapters in stock (so you can use the TXS downpipe w/ another brand of catback).

(standard muffler pictured. Ti muffler is canister style)

2008 WRX/STI/LGT Stealthbacks!!! Downpipe + secondary (either catless or highflow cat) that will connect to your stock or aftermarket catback! WS08-SBE

We also carry MANY downpipe brands so we can create turbobacks for you that fit your budget, power goals, noise level requirements, style preferences, emissions regulations, etc, etc. Shoot us an e-mail!

It's like $475... dual tip one, right? Might want to consider the Vibrant StreetPower as well.... similar look, but it's full 3" and totally straight-through. Should make more power. Also I know the Vibrant is 304 stainless including the flanges. I can't figure out if the Bosal is 304 or 439 stainless and if the flanges are mild steel or stainless. Also don't have it in stock, so if you're interested in picking on up shoot me an e-mail or a PM and I'll check on the ETA for you. Vibrant is in stock.

...and sorry for sounding biased on this one ... The Vibrant is just really, really high quality and sounds amazing. Looks similar and is priced somewhat closely (e-mail if you'd like to haggle the Vibrant price ). I think it's a better exhaust for most cars...

Dude a lot of people are starting to prefer this Vibrant StreetPower over the Hush! Seriously, if you want a top quality, dual tip catback that is relatively subdued in volume level and flows as well as anything out there, it's the Vibrant StreetPower. For a lot less than the Hush!

....but I'll PM pricing and availability to you tomorrow!... I don't keep the Bosal or the Hush in stock usually so I'll call up one of my distributors to see what the story is on lead time if they don't happen to have them in stock.

This one? http://www.turboxs.com/item.php?ID=213

For whatever reason, we get pretty much no discount on this item from them. It's $40 + shipping. Also don't have it in stock... frankly, it might be easier for you to just order that through the TurboXS site. If it's going to charge you a whole bunch for shipping though, you'd be looking at $48 shipped from us, just FYI and we can order it for you if you'd like.

Hope it helps.

We do have KILLER pricing on their intercoolers (in stock) as well as all of the exhaust parts though, plus things like the surge tanks, fuel rails, etc

No, it's just a catback exhaust. Basically, any catback goes from the end of your catalytic converter pipe back to the tip. It doesn't replace any pipes on the car that have a cat in them. It does have a resonator in it.

On the WRX or STI, pipes with a catalytic converter in them will be the downpipe if you're getting a long downpipe (like Cobb, Helix, etc) or either the downpipe and/or the secondary/midpipe if you're getting a shorty downpipe + a secondary/midpipe like a TurboXS setup, Crucial Racing setup, Stromung, Perrin, and some others....

No problem. A LOT of people ask because there's a lot of confusion on the WRX where the cats are and what the pipes are called. It doesn't help that most of the downpipes on the market replace two of the OEM pipes but some of them only replace one of the OEM pipes (the actual "downpipe" pipe). Then, the next pipe is usually called the "midpipe," which is weird because on most cars the midpipe is part of the catback. ....we usually call it the secondary/midpipe to try and avoid confusion ...

Anyway, uploaded with this post is a diagram of the WRX that shows where the cats are and what certain parts are called. Note: there's only a cat in the uppipe on 02-05 WRX, 04/05 Forester XT, and 05 Legacy GT. After these years, no cats in the uppipe & the STi never got one.

does the street power exhuast need an after market 3 inch downpipe? or can it be bolted on to the "2.25" stock sti downpipe?

While it does end in a 3" flat flange (as do most of the exhausts in the pictures above), it will bolt to the OEM secondary pipe ("midpipe" in the diagram I uploaded above). It's not totally ideal because the stock system is designed to use a 2.5" donut gasket style flange, but they WILL bolt together. The bolt holes line up just fine. You may need to go to Home Depot to buy some hardware though (nuts, bolts, washers) because the holes in the OEM part and the holes in the Vibrant part will be different sizes and I'm not sure if the hardware from either will work.

It's really, really common for people to mix-match 3" flat flanges and 2.5" donut-style flanges, whether they get a 3" downpipe and a 2.5" style catback, or vice-versa like what you're thinking about doing.

The biggest problem people have when doing this is getting it to be 100% leak free. It's common to have small exhaust leaks at the flange connection. Really a non-issue, but it can sound funny if it's large enough. Mix-matching these style flanges is the main reason we made a 3" version of our Cu-Seal gasket. Nothing seals up like these do, and we have LOTS of customers who have fixed leaks in their 3" to 2.5" donut style systems with them www.CrucialRacing.com/products/gaskets.php

When you get a downpipe in the future, get a full 3" one. We carry a whole bunch if you're interested. Or, we can do a nice package deal if you wanted to do a complete turboback in one shot.

But, there's nothing wrong with getting the 3" catback now, running it until you have the $ to spare, and getting a 3" downpipe then. The other option, of course, is to get a catback with a 2.5" donut style flange that will connect perfectly with the stock parts, and then get a downpipe later with a 2.5" flange (like the Cobb) so it still bolts up. But... a lot of people want full 3" systems.

It'll bolt up. There's nothing wrong with doing it in stages.
