Default Installed my roof vane spoiler this weekend!

This mod is seriously not for the faint of heart the whole time I was drilling the holes in my car, I was just thinking there is seriously something so not right about this....

But it turned out really nice, and it was worth all the stress about ruining my car. At least I think. Thanks to pdxsilver for letting me take measurements of his car!

Looks good. I'm wanting to do that on my mine. I think it would look good with the WRX wing. What write-up/method did you use? If you used your own, plan on making a write-up? Did you pay the ~$450 for it?

I just kinda put it on...hahah I didnt really have a method it kinda fits it self once you have it in the general area...Then I drilled holes and slapped bolts on. hahah I can post pictures of what I did on the inside. I actually picked it up from Millennium Auto for 220 shipped I think.

Looks awesome man! Im really considering this, cuz I can get one for free with my suby bucks. But they dont make them in PSM

Think it will look good if I get the black one for my psm?

And what do you do to seal the holes and prevent any leaks?

There is a packing the goes under the base of the wing then I just slapped a little kitchen and bath silicone caulking around the bolts and washers I will take some more pictures tomorrow.

Yeah I wanna go wingless eventually too, I love the look of the roof spoiler and wingless. Did you find drilling through the first layer was easy but the other two layers sucked? haha that's what I found at least...

Believe me man, it took me like an hour after I marked the spots to drill to actually get up enough courage to make it happen haha! But it's really not that bad, and if you are careful and take your time you are golden Measure 2 or 500 times, drill once.

I'd love one too, but I'm with the others on the drilling thing.....too much commitment for me....eventhough I'll hopefully have the car until it dies. Who knows...maybe one day

Exactly! It's not like you are you messing with a $100 part of your car either. I was so uneasy about it and after snapping a drill bit, I was really worried, but I really like the look of it on my car, I think it really adds, but that's just my opinion. Post pictures of your car man!

A wedding. We came in and left via PDX, but spent most of our time on the coast around Tillamook. You guys have got some beautiful country around there.
And damn good beer, too!
