Default What's that noise????

I drive a 2005 STI, and it's almost hitting 80,000 miles. Over the past few weeks I've noticed a noise that seems to be coming from the rear of the car whilst I'm driving. It gets louder when I put my foot down. Could it be the bearings? If so, any idea what it'll cost to have the problem repaired?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have

I tend to notice wheel bearings will quiet while driving aggressively on a curvy road or freeway offramp.

Move the tires to the front of the car to rule those out. (unless all are nearly shot)

Thanks for the advice. Most of my driving is done on highway. The tires are in pretty good shape at this point. I'll swap the wheels around and see if there's any difference

Thanks!
