Default Will ACT streetlite flywheel for 98-03 fit 07?

Looking for a lightweight flywheel for my car (07 2.5i). ACT told me their streetlite #600185 will fit up to 03 RS only. They recommend to call the dealer and find out if an 02, for example, uses the same flywheel as an 07. If it does, then I am ok to use the 03 sreetlite for my 07.

Interestingly, here is what I found out:

Flywheel subaru # for 07 is 12342AA061
Flywheel subaru # for 02 is 12342AA040

Although they are different part #'s, the "061" is now sold as replacement for "040", except, one has to use 07 flywheel bolts. What does that tell us?

I guess we still don't know if the reverse is true--if 02 flywheel will fit an 07 (with the 07 bolts!).

Has anyone actually installed the streetlite on your 06-07 car?

In fact, has anyone install any brand of light weight flywheel on a 2.5i ?

Throw codes is ok with me. The fitment is my concern. I don't want to take everything apart and find out it doesn't quite fit...

ACT promised to call me back. But they haven't after 4 days.

Did you ever figure this one out? I am having the same trouble trying to find a flywheel for an 06 2.5i. The local clutch shop has even been on the phone with exedy, and all they can tell him is that there is a difference. It could only be weight, or something more severe. It will be nice to finally have an answer for this one!!
