Default project LSCUBIE-DOO: LS1 + T56 USA #1

thus it begins. heres a few pics of the car.




Well started the swap, dropped the 2.0 out and loaded the LS1, and T56.

Here is the start, well got this far today

Wow, it actually looks like there might be room in there for headers!
(you might want to consider CTS-V headers, they are VERY compact).

There was a guy that tried this awhile back, his didnt workout, so this will be interesting.
No A/C in a hot as hell place...not my idea of run either.


Theres alot more room to be had if you get a shorter radiator thats infront of the support.

ive seen one v8/impreza swap and as i recall, the problem isnt the engine (sbc is tiny!) but the transmission. the t56 is a huge mother. you sit so low in a camaro that the transmisson tunnel appears to come up past your knees!

that project included cutting out the existing tunnel and making it larger. the project was abandoned before completion and i dont think they ever worked out the transmission

have you test fit the t56? i cant see it in the pics
