This car is being made for the 1/4 mile not autocross we have other cars at our shop that were built for autocross. The motor was built with the 1/4 mile in mind. It is able to rev much higher then a stock motor and it will also be getting a 6spd swap in the near future. With the gearing of the 6spd and the ability of a high reving motor the powerband is right where we wanted it to be for the 1/4mile.

Something tells me you'll see more midrange once higher octane gas is used.

Right now the car has a stock 5spd in it and is holding the power great. We do have a 6spd swap ready to go in it once the 5spd gives out.

We were originally planning on going with the built 4eat but we found a 6spd swap for a price we couldn't pass on.

Congrats on the car, it looks like a beast!! One thing though, if the car is strictly set up for the 1/4, wouldn't a 5 spd ppg gearset be a must? My buddy went 11.9 with a vf39 and ppg 5 spd on his 2.0 wrx. He trapped in 3rd

Even with the BC 280 cams and I'm guessing headwork, I would expect peak torque to come way before 6500 rpm. Was it tuned intentionally like that to give a linear Hp shape?

What else is done to the heads?
