Question Best Place in Bay Area to buy/tune APEX-I S-AFC for my WRX?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering picking up an APEX-I S-AFC for my WRX. I have several bolt-ons--headers, up-pipe, turbo back exhaust, & an EBC, so I'd like to address my fuel delivery. I can't afford a stand-alone engine management computer, and don't want to go the UNI-CHIP route.

Can someone recommend a good shop/tuner in the Bay Area that has experience w/setting up the S-AFC on WRX's? I'd really appreciate some feedback or advice from WRX owners that actually have purchased the units.

Thanks in advance,

CL

It's Blue, ok?

Why not use a unichip? If your asking for assistance in setting up a S-AFC your probably better off with a unichip installation.

As I mentioned in my original post, I mainly am not considering the UNI-CHIP because I don't have that much $$$ right now. Also, I don't want to have to re-burn the chip every time I make any changes.

Thanks for the tip. Actually, I know Ron Lee, co-owner of Motorsport Techniques. We have a bunch of mutual friends and actually were part of the original N. Cal import racers in the early 90's. I haven't kept in touch w/him though, since I've been in S. Cal for school, so I don't want to seem like I'm just hitting him up for a discount after all this time. Motorsport Techniques is a great shop though. The shop carries a lot of top-quality products.

Anyways, anyone else out there that actually HAS the S-AFC in their WRX and can give me some advice on where in the Bay Area to purchase/tune it?

Peace

CL

p.s. WhiteWRX, why do you have the S-AFC if you have the Vishnu Stage Zero set-up? Stage Zero comes w/the UNI-CHIP, right?

I'm not using the S-AFC on the WRX...because i don't think there's need since i'm using a Unichip.

but i got a S-AFC sitting in my room....it was off my turbo Integra. i sold the car, but i kept the AFC just incase i need it for later.
