Default anyone ever used passat steelies on there subaru?

I found a set of cheap 16inch passat steelies that are 5x100.

I was curious if anyone has tried fitting these on there car? my friend might need a set of steelies for winter

actually, my brother is currently running VW steelies. Not sure if they're from a passat, but they seem to fit without problems.

As long as the offset near correct. You use relatively narrow tires in the winter, so you do gain a lot of wiggle room between the fender and strut body. This does give you a bit more freedom with wheel choice. It's still preferable to be correct with the offset as it can introduce bumpsteer when not centered to the turning axis.

Most VW wheels are 5 X 100, with an offset of 35, so they are reasonably close.
