Default AutoBody in Portland, OR

I was in an accident last night!! It wasn't my fault, but my car is all messed up!

From what i could tell this morning all the damage is on the body, the engine, even the radiator is not damaged!

My insurance has contract with Kadel's Auto Body and Heitzman Auto in Portland, OR.

Does anybody know if these shops are any good?

Kadel's Auto has been around for some time, so i think is pretty decent!

any info would be of a great help to me!

thanks,
nik

both are very reputable shops, i would go to kadels simply because they have been around for a long time and have great customer service. heitzman is over on beverton hillsdale right? ive only heard that they do a good job but the cost is high.

Leif's also has a good rep, and you don't have to use a body shop contracted to your insurance company. In fact, they might have the contract because they will use non-OEM parts to fix the car to keep the cost down. As far as I know, Leif's only uses OEM parts, and they do not have contracts with any insurance companies. What happened to your car, anyways? How bad is the damage?

thanks for the advice guys!

I actually end up takign the car to Kadel's Auto. I talked to a few people at and it sounds liek these guys knwo what they're doing!

My Legacy is 95, but I had 97 GT parts on it. So now, I'm trying to get the shop to make it as I wante it. Hope it works!

As far as the accident goes, on Sunday night i was going down on Barbur towards Ross Island Bridge, right in the smal tunnel there, a red car flyes out of now where and gets right in front of me, it took seconds.

I had to go to the left to avoid getting hit and i think his was was gonna flip if he would have hit me, just cuz i think his car was loosing it. So, i brake and turn sharp left, it was wet and car je turned sideways and slid, and BOOOM in the wall, airbags come and s%&t. I was ok, I could see the red car through all the smoke from the airbags, but he just took off after he saw what happend. Couldn't get a licence plate or anything.

Its messed up, 2 years ago on the yesterday day I bought the car, and then 2 years on the same day its in a body shop. damn!

But i'm ok, not hurt at all, so that's good, and that's all I really care about, cars can be fixed.

I'll get pictures here this afternoon!

thanks again guyz

i would advise against taking your car to Leif's, i have had nothing but lies come from them. they also may use your car as a service running vehicle without your knowledge so if anyone here DOES decide to take their car there, be sure to check odometer readings.

Good luck in getting your car fixed (I mean that, not being sarcastic). I used to deliver windshields to lots of Kadel's Auto Body Shops, and they always seemed like a good place. And I didn't know Leif's had such a bad rep, or I wouldn't have brought them up. Anyways, good luck, and hope it goes well!
