Default N00b question

I was just wondering, since you should have all four tires the same, when you get a flat, and put the doughnut on, wouldn't that make the car like freak out with the all wheel drive and break the differential and all that good stuff? Always wondered......

the spare is for temp use...assuming you were running factory size tires and the spare for a short distance = no problems

True. I've used mine twice. Both times I could tell my drivetrain was mad at me. For a little while its not a big deal. For the price you pay for these cars, and how important tire diameter is, its always pissed me off that you don't get a full size spare in the impreza.

the spare is only to be used for short distances below 45mph.

if you want a full size spare, put a full size spare in the trunk.
