Default Can anyone who can read Japanese help?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone who speaks Japanese can help transliterate this to latin letters or alternative english spelling of this brand or artist. I know that it is Japanese, I don't know if this is up-side down or what. But that's what I got. Thanks in advance

I can read very little japanese kanji. The best think I can tell you to do is to look for an online Kanji translator if there is such a thing, though I can imagine that could prove rather convoluted

Don't know if it's definitely Japanese, but much of formal Japanese is derived from Chinese. In Chinese, that's "something nine", or pronounced as "something geo." I don't know the first character... but the second seems like 9 in Chinese, or "jiu", or "geo." It's also written in an older style, and is not upside down. Someone else may be able to fully elaborate, good luck =)

Post the link to the vase on eBay as soon as you post it.
I have a bunch of weird looking Gold coins I found on a chest buried on the beach and I might sell those too.

I just asked somebody here at work, the second part stands for the number nine, the first part is not a character, maybe it is a logo, according to them.

So far seems like there's only one thing consistent is number 9. Other part is various guesses.

first symbol is sho(go back to normal/still the same/nothing changes)-kyu(9 in japanese)

"back to 9"? direct translation of both charactors, but probably not the entended meaning

shokyu means "raise"

company name or artist tag..

I asked someone who speaks Chinese and they said it meant Very Noble and that it was upside down. They thought it was just a brand, nothing else in particular.

九=nine (very)
尚=noble
