Default Richard Hammond and an F1 ride video

Interesting video, I thought it might already be posted, but could not find it when I searched. It is good for a laugh or two, and really shows how far above most other motorsports the F1 cars are.

That said....repost. But I didn't watch it the first time (what a fool I was!!)

We all like to think we could hop in an F1 car on any given day, limp around the track for a bit, work our way up to speed and lap at a respectable pace (within 10 seconds of race laps???). This delusion is completely shattered by what I just saw. I no longer feel I'm worthy to dream of driving an F1 car, such an affront to its awesomeness it would be.

Yeah I hadn't seen that before, very interesting change of perspective, very sweet.

Go play rFactor and drive the CTDP cars. Hopping in a car and doing a "conservative" lap is still worlds faster than anything else in the game. When he's driving the World Series car and saying that his brain just could not work fast enough.... you see something happening, and by the time your brain processes it... it's too late. When you start a race mid-pack.... turn one is truly and massively terrifying, even when you're just playing a video game. Those cars can stop and change direction so fast that by the time you realize the car in front of you is slowing down, it's too late and you've just stuffed your nose into the back of their car.... ripped it off... and punctured a tire. While I've joked that F1 drivers move up the ladder into sports car racing, the simple fact is.... F1 cars are unreal, and anyone that can successfully pilot one is some sort of lunatic.
