Default another tire fitment thread but please help.

i've been seaching quite a bit for a solid/semi-pro/professional answer but came out empty handed.

im getting new tires for my rims. motegi mr-7.

7.5*18 +48

right now i have 235/40/18's

im looking to aim for something with more meat.
the fitment issue comes in here.

from searching..i found that the highest most folks run for a 7.5 is 235...
some are warning against anything 240+...is that true?

can i fit 255/45?

if not..250/45?

if not..245/45?

i want at least a 245...is that ever possible without major problems on a 7.5?

too narrow for? anything past 235?

what are the risks involved in using a 245+ tire?

the wheel looks like it can handle more meat.

Yeah. Don't keep asking just because you want someone to say a 245 will fit. 235 is as wide as you should go on a 7.5. Deal with it.

A 245 will fit. Plenty of people are running 245 on a 7.5" rim in the Legacy and Outback world.

You want to watch the overall tire diameter, however, because your speedometer and odometer will be off.

Check it here:
