Default Final Fitment Q's Before Placing Wheel Order - Pic's Inside

So hopefully next week I will send the order out for some Work Emotions which should arrive in 5 weeks. But before shelling out 2k, I want some confirmation on fitment. I have asked around before but never got alot of definite info so here's my last set of questions.

The car is a Imported 99' STi Sedan so it shares the same shell as your 4 Door RS. I am planning on running 17x8 CR Kai's with a 42mm offset rather than the common 48mm so I can get a lit bit more clearance away from the standard strut. I will go with a 215/45 tire to ensure I have a little more room to play with too. It has all standard suspension, nothing is adjustable so it is important to get it right. I see guys all over RS25.com and NASIOC running what setup I am planning to run and have read what they needed to do to avoid rubbing, but what I am unsure about now is that the JDM STi's have a wider track than standard RS/Impreza and this will affect how much the wheel sticks out from the suspension and fender.

I have had a play around on the Wheel & Tire Combo Size Comparer on rims-n-tyres.com and according to that the new rims will stick out 23mm further and 1mm closer to the strut over the standard wheels (16x7 ET53). Considering the front wheels/tires on there now arent far away from being flush it could be a problem trying to get them to fit.

Heres some photos anyway

Front Left: (25mm away from strut)

220mm from where tire is closest to strut to fender liner:

Rear Left: (5-6mm away from strut, because of more negative camber standard)

220mm from strut to fender:

Tire to strut clearance in rear:

Please give your opinions and wisdom so I can sort it and get my wheels on the next ship out

I don't know if they will fit but you could use this calculator that may help you compare the new wheels and tires with your existing set.

all you need as far as clearance for the strut is 2-3mm

thats IT

if others have used a particular wheel USE THAT or expect to have issues as this has been done before and trying to unthink somebody else here may just piss you off, in the end

do as others have done and it will work, do other and it likely wont

and there are guys running 245/40's on those

DO MORE RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

you will likely have to roll the fenders

but a 215/45 tire is ridiculous on a 17x8 wheel.....a 215/45 is great on a 17x7 wheel

id save a LOT of $$$ and just buy rpf1's

Those look like they'll definitely fit fine, at most just a roll of the fenders.

If tire shops are willing to fit them it can't be TOO ridiculous. Besides Jardine is running them and the stretch isn't really aggressive at all. But I know what your trying to say, that a rim that is 8 inches wide is pointless if I am only going to run that small a tire.

How much less is a set of RPF1's over CR Kai's in America?

RPF1s in 17x8 can be had between ~900-1200
