I think you should by me STI Ver 5 struts to go with my springs!
If you want to be selfish, then get the intake done, and maybe an exhaust with a larger midpipe (if you don't have it already) so us N/A fans can see what kind of improvment it makes. Paul G. [This message has been edited by paultg (edited May 29, 2000).] |

I'd stay away from the ACT clutch, it's a little too strong for your needs and it may just end up killing your tranny. I know one someone sells just a higher friction disk that retains the stock pressure plate. It's only $150. Then if you could find an extra stock pressure plate you could just have some slightly stiffer springs put in it. It would be cheaper and would suit your needs better. And as far as the extra money.....I'd like to see how much the extrude honed manifold helps out. R tires will only be good for you if you have an extra set of wheels.

nate that other clutch disc is from primitive and it uses copper buttons which will do more damage than the act clutch

Bill,
I think you should donate the money to Kris for all his hard work he has done with NESIC. This way he could buy another trunk monkey to keep his company! Kris, I would like a 10% cut for the shameless plug! Thanks. |

Perhaps some assorted stickers promoting products not installed on your car. Maybe a Neuspeed banner across your windshield.

Bill,
The ACT clutch is less than that, at least the street version is. Nero at Powerhouse Racing is doing a group buy for $370, and he says shipping should be about $20. Since my clutch has started slipping at 3000+ rpm engagements, I'm going to place an order for one any day now. Or were you thinking of picking up the ACT button-style racing clutch? If so, I've heard one too many complaints about it ripping apart trannies. That one you should stay away from. Unless you want to be a guinea pig on the intake... I'd be much more interested in your findings on the cams than the intake.-WaC Wayne |
