Default 15" Steelies on an 02 WRX

Anyone know if there are any steelies out there that will clear the calipers on an 02 wrx? Perhaps stockies off an old Forester?
Thanks for any help!

don't know of any 15in steelies.. but tirerack may have some 16in steelies left

if you are hellbent on 15in wheels, try teamdynamics

Default generic

So a generic 15" 5x100 steelie from costco or wherever won't clear the calipers?

oh i'm sorry, i keep thinking about the 4pot brakes so i had clearance issues on my mind.. stocks off a forester would work, but i wouldn't go for generics from costco or something

apologies again.. so generally, any suby wheel with the right lug pattern would work

I don't think there is a 15 inch steel wheel that will fit, no offense but i would double check this. I put wrx brakes on my rs 5 years ago and since then been looking for a 15 inch wheel to clear the brakes. Now on my wrx that i have i finally went with 15 inch rally wheels. Team Dynamics are 130 each but it will take a while to get them most likely.

Do the calipers hit the spokes of the rim or the inside? Just wondering if you could just use wheel spacers?

when i tried it hit the inside of the wheel on the topside of the caliper..... even my 16 inch jdm wrx wheels had to be spaced out with 4mm spacers so its tight.
I ended up taking the dive and getting some 15 inch speedline rally wheels this winter so i could run 15 inch again..... i will use them in the summer for rally x tires as well so its worth it since there are alot of 15 inch rally tire available used.

I had ordered team dynamics rally wheels but they where taking to long and the snow was here so i grabbed a set of used speedlines instead. If you can wait for them to come from overseas the team dynamics are about 130 each shipped which is really cheap for a rally wheel.....

Default Rally wheels

Where are you guys finding 15" rally wheels to clear wrx brakes for $130 each? Care to point me in that direction? Are they 7" wide?

I'd gladly wait the winter out for that.

as does wanting to use 15's

there are plenty of cheap 16" wheels that clear just fine and plenty of 16" winter tires to choose from

i kinda have to wonder at the(broken) logic tree used by SO MANY to arrive at conclusions, here

You can't get a 185 wide tire in a 16 and you can in the 15..... thats the main reason most people like to run 15 inch snows...... the skinnier the better, and since i got 15s this year and had 16 inch last it is a major improvement in grip with the 15 inch.
As for swapping the caliper bracket and the rotor, it a good option and easy enough but you need 300 bucks for rotors and brackets, i'd rather put it towards the rally wheels.
But it's an option for sure.
The other reason i want a set of 15 inch wheels is so in the summer i can run rally tires for some rally x events and 15 inch is a very popular tire size in rally making used tires very easy to get.

If they clear 4 pots they will clear wrx brakes...... the Team Dynaimics are only 130 ea shipped so its not bad it will be a bit heavier since its a rally wheel but alot stronger as well. What wheels do you know of for 100 bucks? i did hear about a cheap wheel that cleared a while back but i believe its dicontinued, let me know which ones your thinking of cause i still want another set for rally tires for some rally x events

Sport Edition wheels....dunno which ones

and i do not KNOW that they fit......but there was a LONG thread here that named a few 15's that cleared the 4-pots

Quote:
the Team Dynaimics are only 130 ea shipped
and think ~60% that price for the sport edition wheels

The sport editions where still almost 100 each shipped so the rally wheel is a lot stronger so its a fair price......I read that thread a while back too and it was mentioned that the sport edition model that did fit was disontinued...

No broken logic here. I already have a set of 15s sitting in the garage, s. going out and buying 16's.

15" tires are also cheaper than 16" AND the taller profile/skinnier tread will do better in the snow.

Now what?

I've been to the Team Illuminati site as well as several others based on a google search for Team Dynamics rally wheels and I've not come up with anything.

I would greatly appreciate the link or contact to find these in a 15x7 for this price.

i really don't know if they're 130usd shipped since i've never personally ordered from them and they don't list a price on the site while browsing their gallery.. but someone else also mentioned speedlines for 15in.. try browsing around some.. even if it were 20 bucks more or something, i think they'd still be worth it if they can fit 4pots
