Default Honda unveils new fuel cell concept

Quote:
Honda has rolled out a new fuel cell-powered “design study” that shows what a fuel cell sports car could look like in the future.

The Honda FC Sport has seating for three in the same configuration as the McLaren F1--driver in the middle and two passengers on the sides slightly to the rear.

The fuel cell stack sits in the front and the battery pack, electric motor and hydrogen tanks are in back.

“The only CO2 created by this machine would come from the smoking tires!” said Honda chief John Mendel, ignoring any pollutants cause by making all that hydrogen.

That thing has an out-y instead of an in-y for a butt...

That said, the rest looks hawt. I'm all for the eco-responsible sports car development front.

Acura should take a few styling cues from this for the new NSX

To our eyes the pod looks like a distended anus. But in a good way, if that's possible.

The tail is designed for better aerodynamics which will improve mileage. My first thought was, "Damn! That's ugly." But the more I look at it, the better it looks. The one thing that would sell it, for me, would be if it was RWD.

They should have a turbine exhaust out the back and then it would be HOTWHEELS in real life.

It's fine until you get past the rear wheels.

Oh, and IT IS a domestic design. It came from Honda's US design studio.

And c'mon, it's not like Honda would ever actually build it.
