Default can someone help me with my 08 sti aggressive wheel fitment?

I have 18x9 +35 advan rzs on my 08 sti with 245s bfgoodrich tires. I really wanted 255s but ok here we go.
I have been working to get these to fit for sometime now. This is my daily driver so keep that in mind when telling me how to set it up.
Im dropped on bc racing coilovers too.

I have rolled all four fenders and in the back, I am having no issues rubbing. In the front, I am rubbing like crazy. I took the front wheels off to tighten spring adjustment and im rubbing behind the wheel. like on the inside of the fender liner.

and what do i do with my fender liner, all these guys with these aggressive wheel fitments and no one says they have problems with the front fender liner, mine is thrashed i got 2 new ones but the problem is the lip where the liner was held is now rolled so its hard to get it to stay up there so it falls down in the wheel and i rub.

How do i fix these problems? its only when i hit a bump or when i turn too fast and hit a bump. I really wanted to lower my car a bit more and pull the fenders a bit more too but i do not think that this will help the rubbing of the fender liner.

No one else has had these problems to my knowledge. If someone knows how/what to do to get these babies to ride perfect on my car please let me know!

ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED!

here is a picture of my current ride height and such if this helps:

Talk to JJ @ IAG. 410-840-3555.

JJ has 295 on a ?x10 rim. Its looks tastefully crazy!

Raise ride height, dial in more caster, play with camber, etc. On stock suspension I fit 285s easily on stock wheels, which should put the outside of the tire at about the same place as yours.

What size are your tires? 245/??/18

Oh, and now you know why the "aggressive" look is not so great.

Yeah. Get some wheels with a higher offset. That'll fix the problem.

yeah it like mav1c said, its the low offset. im running the rs's 18x9's with the stock
245's up front on a +29 offset. the 3rd day i had the tires one of the front tires grabbed my rally armor mudflap on a turn an ripped out the mounting screw an scratched the entire rim all the way around. so yeah the lower offset the tighter the clearance on that inner fender liner is.

You guys are confused...

It's not the higher offset causing issues, since he's rubbing on the inside. If it was low offset issues, he'd be rubbing the fender. The problem is the wheel is too wide, and too far in the well.

OP, try to find some little 4mm spacers. Those ones you can snag from a wheel shop for $5 each. That should take you further out, and away from the inner liner on the front. For the rear, don't touch them unless you have to.

The other issue of the inner fender liner not having anything to sit on can be fixed with a heat gun. Gently, slowly heat the plastic inner fender, while applying outward pressure. Basically, you're trying to stretch the plastic to reach the rolled fender lip. I spent about 30 minutes per side on mine, and they don't fall anymore. Another option is to drill a hole in the lip, and another in the fender liner, and use a small zap strap, but I prefer the melting method.

Finally, you never hear about the negative side of aggressive for two reasons.
#1 - people are full of ****
#2 - people are embarassed to admit they bought the wrong fitment

I've "secretly" fixed so many local cars, it's not even funny anymore. I actually charge more now to fix a **** up. It's sweet vengeance for the pricks who like to think they know it all...

Good luck man. The car looks good.

Or he is running too tall of a tire. We still haven't heard what tire size he is running.
A 245/45/18 would be way too tall and cause fender liner rubbing without rubbing fenders.

Judging from the photo, it may be the case, the sidewalls look a little tall for 18 wheels.
