Default What rpm's do i shift at?

Hey ive got an 04 sti fully stage 2 + cobb short ram and bigger tmic.

I was just wondering what rpms you shift at when doing aggressive driving or racing if you will. and where your setting your rev limiter. thanks.

I've found the sweet spot to be between 3650 and 7180 when driving aggressively. And YOU don't set the rev limiter, it's there for a reason.

For a Stage2 STi, drag racing, I'd say 6-6500, depending. Your power falls off up top with the baby turbo, and with shorter gear ratios you'll stay in the meat of your powerband there. Some may even prefer a little higher, but it's just that- preference. I shift at redline but I have a bigger turbo and smaller motor.

I'm thinking he was referring to the shift light on the tach. Otherwise, yeah, just listen to post #2. I'd shift at redline when drag racing.

It won't go boom, but it will feel like you hit a wall when you hit the rev limiter!

about 2000 rpms for me, but that's when im flooring it.

alright. yeah i was talkin about the shift light sorry. so at redline? i was reading up that max hp is at 6k rpms. is that just for stock though?

depending upon your mods, your powerband will change
you can feel when it cuts out...you should shift right at that or just barely before it
