Default Car & Driver 10 Best announced

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...rs_10best_cars

BMW 3-Series/M3 (18)
Cadillac CTS (2)
Chevrolet Corvette (15)
Honda Accord (23)
Honda Fit (3)
Infiniti G37
Jaguar XF
Mazda MX-5 (10)
Porsche Boxster/Cayman (10)
Volkswagen GTI (4)

That list has barely changed from last year. I am actually disappointed that they took out the very good Malibu. On this list this year is the Jag XF which might be a good car, but I would never have guessed it to be 10-Best material.

*ignorant comments about 3-series always getting chosen*
*rant about GT-R not getting chosen*

/typical response to this topic

in all seriousness, I don't get the GTI either. I'm very interested in driving a G37 now... I had discounted it as just too heavy to be any fun with *only* 330 horses.

awesome car. only thing it really lacks is traction so that it can take advantage of more power. next gen GTI will have an LSD as standard and more power to start with... not to mention my fav, a version of the steering wheel used in the Audi TT, R8, and Lambo's. if that aint enough, the 2.0T R32 is coming...

i really enjoy running up on STI's on winding roads and riding their ass and diving inside of them as they understeer on a corner... problem is, they have a big power advantage and pull away at the straighter sections. can't have everything i suppose... but we will soon.

The lack of a real LSD is my biggest complaint about my GTI. Other than that, it has been an incredible vehicle. The AWD 2.0T GTI-R should be an absolute hoot. Plus, I love the looks of the MKVI. They threw tons of Scirocco in the look.

the corvette made the list? that lead sled?

and i agree on the gti. im currently working on a deal on a new sti with the $7k off deal. i was previously damn near signing papers on a gti after i drove a r32 and gti. i was VERY impressed with how the gti felt up against my 05 wrx. i LOVED the dual clutch automatic transmission.

No real surprises here. The corvette is a fantastic car and the G37 is now available with awd... sweet.
