Default '09 STi Winter Rims / Tires

Hi all.

Looking to quickly get a set of winter tire/rims for an 09 STi. Any thoughts on these two packages I found?

Tireracks recommended package:
235/45R17 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 and 17x7.5 Sport Edition A7 Silver Painted

What about discount tires? (I like these rims better):
225/50R-17 98V XL B Hankook Icebear W300 tires with 17X8 5-114.3 42GM MB Wheels Weapon wheels.

Any other places I should look?
Thanks!

This is a wheel/tire question, not a 2.5 question .

Hi all.

Any comments on the value/performance/fitment of the discount tire combo?

225 is as wide as you want to go. Do *NOT* get the 235's.

?? on a 8" wide wheel? you could easily fit a 235... the difference from a 225 to a 235 is so small you would never notice it. I run a 245 on a 7.5" rim and have been doing so for years now and it has nice straight side walls and every thing.
