Default Need advice on wheels.. who track rotas?

I want a set of prodrive P1 or P7 for my 2000 impreza. I haven't found a set for sale on time to buy it. I do like a couple of the rota wheels but I'm not sure if they will be good for tracking the car.

Any advice from the people that track rotas?

I've tracked Rota Torques, Boosts, and Slipstreams. Never had a problem.

there's a ton of people that use rotas as track wheels...

i've hit some massive pot holes, missing chunks of road, etc. and i take my car off-road...no issues with bending/cracks...only rolling tire beads lol

the whole "rotas are weak" thing started because of a bad batch of wheels a few years back

Rota wheels are very common for track use and we have tons of customers running these wheels with no issues at all. One of the fastest Subaru time attack teams currently runs Rota wheels and they are have great success with these wheels.

Having actual experience with a product really means a lot as there are tons of false claims/rumors online about Rota wheels.

Quote from GST Owner/Tuner Mike Warfield

"We have smashed burms, jumped the car and done all things brutal we can and we have never hurt a Rota rim ever.

For sure the best wheel for the $ and strong as hell.

Mike"

We've worked with Rota to release a new wheel for street/track use. These actually just arrived in the US last week and are already shipping out to customers around the US.

The wheel is the new Rota DPT which is a 17x9 +42 wheel that only weighs 18.9 lbs. I currently run these on my car and they are very rigid/light.

I used to have a 2002 rs with 18 in rota subzero. That car was not a serious track car. I am looking for a 17x7.5 or 17x8 for my GC8 impreza.

what wheels do you have in those sizes?
