Default will a 245 fit an 06 STI with no mods?

I'm looking to fit the widest tire on my 06 STI that I can that doesnt rub!! without having to roll the fenders or change the camber. do I have room in there for a 245/--/17 or 18. Sorry, I had a sheet with overall diameter's written down but I cant find it. I think the 245/40/17 was like .2 in shorter than the stock 2254017 and the 245/40/18 was about .5 in taller than stock. A little taller wouldnt be that bad, since the STI's gearing is already a little low for me. Suspension is all stock and the tires will be going on a set of 8in wide wheels.

245 tire is the widest you can go on an 8" wheel. I'm sure there's someone out there running wider tires on Sti wheels but its not recommended.

the 245/40 tire would be 0.3in smaller than stock diamater.

You will fit fine.
Guys are lowering and going to 255/265, so stock at 245 is no problem.
