Default 2010 STi getting a bump in power?

Word on the street (in my Automotive Marketing class) Subaru is going to up the power to the mid 300's ?
Any one have any news on this? I have looked and all I could find was info on the Japan Spec C STi and chances of us getting that (here in canada) are probably slim I am guessing?

I'd expect a similar increase to the 09 WRX. The STi isn't the performance bargain it was when it was introduced. I'd also say the same about the EVO X. Neither will compete in the high $30k market without some serious enhancements. Unfortunately, it seems they are both following the path taken by the Supra, VR4, 300ZTT and RX7 and I expect the result to be the same. Of course with the new CAFE standards, cars like the EVO and STi are probably not long for the US anyway.

It's a shame that the STi might not be long for the US market.

IBTL by the way.

They are better off doing a very modest bump in power if anything and finding a way to lower the price.
