Default Rota wheels who track them?

I am about to buy a set of wheel for my GC8. I not sure if I should consider rotas since the car will be tracked 8-10 times a year. Iam worried about the horror stories about rota wheel failures.

So, who track rota wheels?

Elliot

They might bend, if you go off track...

BTW, one thread would have been enough..

I would only get the multi-spoked Rotas and ones with fat spokes. Not too sure about the BOOSTs.

^ya. there have been a few threads where ive seen those thin spoked wheels breaking. i have rotas on my wrx and it will be the last. the metal is pretty soft. when you curb them they curb very badly.

more people track rotas than just about any wheel... they do fine

..............Any wheel "might" bend if you go off track as well. Or hit a pothole in normal daily driving, or a spot of bad pavement in the road, or anything else that might cause any wheel to bend.

Gary Sheehan used to race a bugeye WRX in the USTCC on Rotas (Subzeros and Slipstreams, IIRC):

thanks for the posts. is nice to see track cars with them. Most of the feedback that I get is ussually from someone with a friend that had a friend with rotas and they crack or exploded!!
no feedback from first hand owners with failures
