Default Leaked: First Porsche Panama photos and details

Quote:
We present you the new Porsche Panamera (letís hope that is a real image and not a photoshoped one). According to our sources the first sport sedan from the German manufacturer will measure 4.97 meters in lenght, 1.93 meters in width, 1.42 meters in height and will have a wheelbase of 2.92 meters while the drag coefficient will be 0.29, enough to take the vehicle to speeds over 124 mph (250 km/h)! Under the hood the standard Porsche Panamera will be powered by a 2.6-liter V6 engine delivering 300 hp, the Panamera S powered by a V8 engine will feature 400 hp while the Panamera Turbo featuring the twin-turbocharged V8 will deliver somewhere around 500 hp.

Also a V6-hybrid variant was also considered, delivering around 350 hp. All the models will feature the new Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) dual-clutch gearbox which not only improves the performances but also the fuel consumption as well as an electronic air suspension

Seems like the rear seat will be a good bit more usable than the Rapide though...

This makes me sad In fifty years, Porsche will be selling everything from tiny econocars to massive SUVs, but no more sports cars..

Am I the only one not terribly impressed by the "over 124 mph!" statement?

My guess is that's only in reference to the 2.6 liter. If that's an NA motor putting out 300 bhp, I'll be rather impressed by it! Fast, or not!

not impressed. looks like they took a 911 and put two more doors in the back. could have been more creative.

Looks horrible!!! I must say Maserati's quattroporte sets the four door lux performance car standard. The Porsche looks like a Frankenstein project gone wrong...

Ya know... I think it looks a LOT better than what some of the spyshots/renderings were guessing what it would look like... but it's still not a very good looking car.

Hey, Porsche... you now own Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti. Isn't that enough high-end cars for you? Audi and Bentley already have very expensive, very fast 4-door sedans... while ruin your image as a sportscar maker by going after the high-end sedan market?

I'm pretty sure 124mph = 200km/h. 250km/h would be 155mph, which is what most cars in Germany are gov limited to.

^^I'm not seeing the big deal about 124 mph either. WRX top speed is higher than that IIRC.

12345 I've driven the Quattroporte; it looks great and is a blast to drive.

What's up with the hatch on the Porsche BTW? Is it really a hatchback?

For Porsche's sake, I hope that is a photoshop. If that's the real deal, that car is uglier than the new impreza!
